Muscat – Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) has appointed Dr Aflah bin Said al Hadhrami as its new Managing Director, marking him as the first Omani to hold this position.

In a statement issued by PDO said, ‘This historic step marks a milestone in the company’s journey and highlights the government’s confidence in the national cadre in the energy sector.’

‘We extend our best wishes to Dr Aflah in his new position. We are confident in his abilities and extensive experience, and we look forward to him leading PDO towards achieving its purpose and strategic goals,’ it added.
