The luxurious resort once again hosts the seasonal Amouage Café, the House’s signature and cliffside culinary establishment, where visitors can enjoy captivating Iftar experiences. The traditional menu is also a playful nod to the House’s revamped Secret Garden Collection.

Muscat – Marking the special occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, Amouage recently re-opened the doors of its bespoke pop-up café, coinciding with the Omani Rock Rose harvest season. Situated by the edge of a thousand-metre cliff on the Jabal Deck terrace at Alila Jabal Akhdar, the five-star resort located on Oman’s northern Al Hajar mountain range, the ephemeral establishment offers a Ramadan-themed and Secret Garden Collection-inspired menu. Curated by Amouage and prepared by Alila’s top chefs, the menu is presented on a card that features art by Omani illustrator and conceptual artist Ruqaiya Mazar.

The Ramadan Amouage Café serves traditional dishes that are in keeping with the generous spirit of the holy month. A tribute to Amouage perfumes, every item on the set menu reflects savoir-faire, unique ingredients, and craftsmanship and is an homage to Amouage’s homeland and its rich kitchen and ingredients. It includes traditional dishes such as Paplou with Omani Rock Lobster, Shorba with Fresh Chicken and Almonds, Chicken Samosa with Mint Yoghurt, Omani Halwa with Saffron and Cardamom.

The Secret Garden Collection-inspired mocktail selection puts its own creative spin on the traditional menu, while guests can take home the illustrated menu card as a beautiful memento of an Iftar meal shared with family and friends. Ruqaiya Mazar, the multidisciplinary Omani artist and founder of the Mazar Studio who has built a reputation in Oman and beyond, designed the menu by capturing what Ramadan means to her with art centered on spiritual introspection, self-reflection, and body and soul connection.
