Muscat – The Sultanate of Oman is currently hosting a regional consultation meeting for the secretaries of the Arab National Commissions for UNESCO.

The two-day meeting is organised by the Ministry of Education, represented by the Omani National Commission for Education, Culture, and Science, in cooperation with UNESCO’s Headquarters Secretariat for Education, Science, and Culture.

The meeting aims to discuss the contribution of the Arab countries to developing the organisation’s financial budget document and the program for the period 2026-2029, and to involve the Arab countries in devising the organization’s future strategies and plans in a bid to ensure that the organization’s plans reflect the aspirations of the Arab countries and are consistent with their development plans.
