Muscat – The rains last week claimed two lives. On Thursday, Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) announced the recovery of two bodies from flooded areas in the wilayat of Ibri, Dhahirah.
A statement issued by CDAA said, ‘Rescue teams of Civil Defence and Ambulance Department responded to a drowning incident of two children in the Al Raiba area of Ibri from where they recovered dead bodies.’
CDAA called on all to monitor children and keep them away from dangerous places during rains to ensure their safety.
Following a report, the authority rescued a woman from a car in a flooded wadi in Ibri. It reiterated its call to not risk crossing flooded wadis for the safety of all.
