Muscat – The Omani – Tunisian olive tree forum will be launched today in the wilayat of Jabal Akhdar in Dakhliyah governorate.

The forum will be organised by the Ministry of Agricultural, Fisheries and Water Resources (MAFWR) in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Tunisia in Oman.

Statement issued by MAFWR, said, ‘The forum is the first of its kind between the two countries in the field of cultivation of olive trees and their products.’

It will include interactive technical sessions and lectures aimed at improving methods of cultivation and marketing of olive trees and their products

‘It will also allow participants to ask questions and inquiries and benefit from the experiences present at the forum. It is expected that this exchange will contribute to strengthening the olive oil industry and cooperation between the two countries in this field,’ it stated.
