Nizwa – Honourable Lady Sayyida Ahad bint Abdullah bin Hamed al Busaidi, Spouse of the Sultan of Oman, presided over a celebration of Royal Oman Police (ROP) marking the graduation of a new batch of female police officers on Sunday.

The graduation ceremony was held at Sultan Qaboos Academy for Police Sciences in Nizwa, Dakhliyah.

Upon arrival of the Honourable Lady, columns of the graduate officers saluted the chief guest. Then, the commandant of the graduates stepped forward, requesting the Honourable Lady to signal the commencement of the military parade.

Marching in front of the Royal Dais, the columns performed the military salute to the Honourable Lady, following which the top graduates of the batch came forward to receive awards from her.

Next, the columns of the graduating officers sang the ROP anthem Humaat al Haqq and took the oath of allegiance. Later, the graduates saluted the Honourable Lady signalling the conclusion of the parade.

The ceremony was attended by members of the Royal family, female members of State Council, senior ROP personnel, and officials from educational, health and social sectors in Dakhliyah.
