Muscat – As part of its efforts to support social security families, the Ministry of Social Development (MoSD) held a forum on Wednesday in Buraimi.

The forum was held under the patronage of H E Dr Hamad bin Ahmed al Busaidi, Governor of Buraimi.

The forum was part of the Tamkeen programme launched by the ministry in 2017 with the aim of investing in the capabilities of individuals, social security and limited income families, and persons with disabilities and qualifying them to participate in the country’s economic development, besides raising their standard of living. The forum targeted 743 people in its first stage.

A number of entities participated in the forum, including the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, the Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development, Oman Development Bank and the Public Authority for Social Insurance.
