Muscat – The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers has invited citizens to vote on priority topics for the fifth edition of the ‘Together We Progress’ forum, scheduled to be held across Oman’s governorates in 2027.
Voting will close on Sunday, October 18, through the forum’s website www.togetherfwd.om
The annual forum provides a platform for constructive dialogue between the government and society, enabling citizens to discuss development policies and government initiatives and share views on issues affecting their communities.
The fifth edition will extend the forum’s reach across the governorates, complementing the main gathering in Muscat and strengthening public participation in setting local development priorities. The initiative aims to ensure that discussions reflect the needs and aspirations of residents in each governorate.
Citizens can vote for proposed topics through the online platform using a registration process linked to their permanent address in the Civil Status Register. They can also propose additional subjects they believe warrant discussion at meetings in their respective governorates.
Voting results will help determine the agenda for the forum’s discussions, allowing citizens to play a direct role in identifying issues of importance to their communities.
The forum brings decision-makers and members of the public together to strengthen trust, encourage national partnership and provide greater opportunities for public engagement in development planning. It also enables citizens to learn about government programmes and initiatives, discuss their priorities and contribute to shaping future policies and strategies.
