Muscat – The Imam Jabir bin Zaid Waqf Foundation and Omani Association for the Hearing Impaired signed an agreement on Wednesday to provide devices to people with hearing disabilities.

The agreement aims to provide hearing devices to support needy students and patients.

The agreement was signed by Ismail al Sawafi, chairman of the Charity Committee at Imam Jabir bin Zaid Waqf Foundation, and Sultan bin Nasser al Amri, chairman of Omani Association for the Hearing Impaired.

“The signing of this agreement is in line with the objective of the foundation, which is to empower all members of society,” said Sawafi.

On his part, Amri said, “The agreement supports the association’s objectives to help persons with hearing disabilities in the sultanate, raising awareness of their issues and integrating them into society, promoting sign language, informing people with hearing disabilities about their rights, engaging them in all social activities, helping them unleash their full potential, and enabling them to play their role towards their homeland.”
