Muscat – The first ever Dhahirah International Film Festival in Ibri is set to take place from October 23 to 26.
This was announced during a press conference held at Municipality hall in Ibri on Sunday. Seventy- seven films from several countries, including the UAe, Morocco, egypt, libya, India, Sudan and Iraq have been entered in the competition stage of the event.The festival is being organised by the Omani Society for Cinema and Theatre with the aim of creating an environment that encourages the development of the film sector, in addition promoting Oman as a filming destination.
