Muscat – The Royal Oman Police (ROP) announced on Sunday that it has arrested four citizens for deliberately crossing a wadi and putting their lives at risk.

In a statement, ROP said the incident happened in Rustaq. ‘The Police Command of South Batinah Governorate arrested four citizens for deliberately crossing a wadi in Wadi Bani Ghafer area, in Rustaq, and exposing themselves to danger,’ it said.

Legal procedures are being completed against the defaulters to refer them to the judicial authorities, it said, adding that the culprits were arrested after a video showing them taking their vehicle into the flowing wadi came to the fore.
