The Public Prosecution received reports about a number of citizens infringing on the public funds, saying these citizens were in possession of government lands illegally.
In a statement, Public Prosecution said, “The Public Prosecutor received several reports from the Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources about a number of citizens infringing on the public funds, in possession of government lands illegally, taking advantage of the current exceptional circumstances.”
It added that by law, the offense is punishable by of up to three years in prison, with the removal of those holdings.
The Public Prosecution calls upon everyone not to hesitate to report any illegal holdings that affect public funds and encroach on its prohibitions.
