The Ministry of Health (MoH) has announced that it will establish a preliminary examination center for COVID-19 in Sultan Qaboos Hospital in Salalah. 

Dr. Khaled bin Muhammad al Mashikhi, Director General of the General Directorate of Health Services in Dhofar Governorate, said, “The Ministry will set up a preliminary examination Center at Sultan Qaboos Hospital in Salalah to deal with infected cases of COVID-19.”

He added, “The center will screen people and classify accordingly whether the person is fit for home or institutional isolation until the results of the test arrive. The center will receive cases transferred from health institutions in the governorate.”

Meanwhile, the relief and shelter sector announced that total 457 people have completed their institutional isolation. The institutional quarantine centres are expected to witness a fall in numbers with the number of isolated persons decreasing by the end of the stipulated isolation period of 14 days.
