In view of the upcoming World Cancer Congress in Oman from October 20-22, the board members from the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) visited Muscat recently. In addition to recurrent cancer control challenges, the members discussed the agenda and modalities of the congress with the Oman Cancer Association (OCA) who will host the event. “OCA is honoured to host the World Cancer Congress in Oman,” said Dr Wahid al Kharusi, president, OCA and UICC Board Member. “It is important to show my colleagues from around the world that Muscat’s commitment to health and hospitality is the perfect landscape for this event.”

The theme for the event this year is ‘The way forward’. The congress will take place at the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre. International and national partners such as the Oman National Oncology Centre are supporting the congress.
