The activities of the 4th International Conference on Language, Linguistics, Literature and Translation: Exploring Cultural Intersections will start on Thursday at Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), under the patronage of H E Dr Abdulmunim bin Mansour bin Said al Hasani, Minister of Information.

The conference will focus on the dynamics of culture and its representations in the fields of language, linguistics, literature and translation. It seeks to provide a forum for scholars, researchers, academics, translators and students to get acquainted with the latest developments in scientific research in the field of their specialties and interests, and interact, dialogue and communicate with scholars and researchers from different countries of the world.

It is organised by the Department of English Language and Literature at the College of Arts and Social Sciences.

Its activities will continue until February 8. More than 90 research papers will be presented over three days by experts from Oman and countries, such as the US, UK, France, Canada, Italy, Spain, Brunei and many more.

The event will see more than 200 participants.
