Some 108 expatriate workers have been arrested in Muscat and deported for violating the provisions of the labour law, stated the Ministry of Manpower (MoM). The workers were apprehended during inspection campaigns conducted from January 26 to February 1, said an MoM official. The ministry regularly carries out inspection operations to ensure that the provisions of the Omani Labour Law are properly implemented and laws and ministerial decisions are strictly followed.
