The value of traded contracts in December 2019 stood at RO262.848mn while the collected fees amounted to RO7.107mn, said Abdullah bin Salim al Mukhaini, secretary of the Real Estate Registry at the Ministry of Housing.
He added that the real estate activity involved 33,159 transactions. They included sale, grant, inheritance, exchange, mortgage and mortgage redemption, usufruct and visas.
Mukhaini added that the total value of sale contracts stood at RO70.586mn through 4,897 sale transactions across sultanate’s governorates while the fee collected was over RO2.882mn. North Batinah (914) recorded the highest number of sale contracts compared to other governorates in December 2019.
