Muscat resident wins beauty title

19 Dec 2019

Shailla Khan, a qualified special education teacher and a resident of Oman bagged the first runner-up title at the Jeeo King and Queen 2019 under the Mrs India International category held in Kolkata recently.

Shailla was the only participant to represent Oman at the beauty pageant. “I would like to inspire all homemakers to dream big and work hard to fulfil their dreams. Homemakers may not fulfil their dreams due to responsibilities and societal pressures. I am proud to represent all such homemakers.” Mother of three children, Shailla said she would like to use the platform to become an influencer and an inspiration to other women.

“I believe that the more you feed your mind with positive thoughts, the more you can attract great things in your life.

“Be positive in every situation. I feel proud and blessed to win such a prestigious contest. I truly believe destiny has something planned for everyone. I haven’t ever experienced so much love, care and affection. I enjoyed the moment of winning. My hard work, confidence and positive attitude helped me realise my dream.”

Shailla, who along with other contestants was trained and groomed for finals under Liza Verma, Shaini Soni and Dr Varun Katiyal, said she is thankful to her husband Shahnawaz Khan and friend Faizan Kamal.

“I won the first runner-up title and the Style Icon award for Jeeo King and Queen 2019. I am proud to share the news that Jeeo King and Queen has made me the brand ambassador of Middle East. They have also offered me a movie and web series to act. I would look forward to pursue modelling as well.”
