Various parts of the sultanate are likely to get rain till Friday, the Met office has said. ‘The weather analysis by the National Multi Hazard Early Warning Center indicates a trough of low pressure located north of Iran that was expected to affect the sultanate from Tuesday to Friday,’ the the Met office stated.

Skies will be partly cloudy to cloudy with chances of rain, occasional thundershowers associated with fresh winds, hail and flash floods. The weather charts indicate relative decrease in temperatures due to the low pressure.

‘The sea state will be moderate along most of the coasts with wave height ranging between 1.5m and 2m.’ 

The Public Authority for Civil Aviation has advised people to take precautions and check the state of the sea before sailing.
