Muscat – The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism has announced the temporary closure of two significant historical sites in the Musandam Governorate, both Khasab Fort and Bukha Fort.

The closure will take effect from Monday, November 10, 2025, and will remain in place until further notice. The decision encompasses both Khasab Fort and Bukha Fort, located in the northernmost region of the Sultanate of Oman.

While the Ministry did not immediately disclose the specific reasons underpinning this significant closure, the move is expected to have an impact on tourism operations and scheduled visits to the culturally vital Musandam region.
