Salalah – His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander, visited Royal Army of Oman’s Firaq Forces command in Dhofar on Thursday.

During the visit, His Majesty inaugurated the Firaq Forces command building at Ngour Sahalnoot Camp. He was received on arrival by Maj Gen Matar bin Salim al Balushi, Commander of Royal Army of Oman (RAO) and Commander of Firaq Forces. Senior officers of Firaq Forces greeted His Majesty on arrival.

His Majesty unveiled a commemorative plaque to mark the official opening of the new command building. He was briefed on the Firaq Forces and the support they receive from other RAO units and Royal Air Force of Oman.

Following the briefing, His Majesty posed for a commemorative photograph with Firaq Forces officers and viewed an exhibition displaying military equipment and training devices. He also attended a presentation on field training methods and observed exercises conducted by the Firaq Forces.
