Muscat – The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth announced the winners of the 5th edition of the Children’s Culture Award for 2025. The award aims to develop and promote cultural and artistic creativity and motivate talented children and adolescents, helping them hone their potential and talents.

Maan bin Mustafa al Jardani won first place for his entry, “Imagine You Have Your Own Robot.” Aseel bint Saeed al Saadiya came in second for the same topic, while Saif bin Khalid al Maawali came in third for his entry, “If You Own a Tourism Company.” The three winners were among the ten finalists in the “Talk So I Can See You” competition, aimed at children aged 7-12, and the “Oman Speaks” competition, aimed at children’s writers and authors.

The closing ceremony was sponsored by Dr. Nasser bin Rashid al Maawali, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy, in the presence of a number of Their Excellencies.

Ahmed bin Nasser al-Rashidi, Head of the Children’s Culture Department at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, said: The Children’s Culture Award is an annual award that began in 2021 under the supervision of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth. It includes two branches: the first is the “Speak So I Can See You” competition, in which school students and residents aged 7-12 years compete, and the second branch is the “Oman Speaks” competition, in which Omani and Arab writers and authors working in children’s stories and children’s culture compete.

He added that the competition aims to develop and enhance children’s cultural and literary abilities, and to encourage Omani writers and authors to enrich the Arab children’s library with human values ​​and values ​​that enhance loyalty and belonging to Omani cultural heritage.

He explained that the number of writers participating in the “Oman Speaks” competition in its current version amounted to (124) participants, a difference of (84) participants from the previous version, while the number of competitors in the “Speak So I Can See You” competition amounted to (523) students in the first stage by sending a video not exceeding 3 minutes that included choosing a topic from the three topics presented, and (18) participants were excluded for not meeting the conditions presented in the announcement, a difference of 133 competitors from the previous version, in which the number of competitors amounted to (190) participants.

It is worth noting that among the competitors in this edition, for the first time, are (7) children with visual impairments and (2) children with motor disabilities
