Muscat – Dhahirah governorate has announced the launch of two tenders aimed at strengthening its tourism sector and showcasing its natural and cultural heritage.
The first tender covers the marketing and promotion of the Dhahirah Tourism Festival 2026, while the second focuses on the organisation, implementation and operation of the event. The governorate stated that the move is part of its strategy to support tourism activity and highlight Dhahirah’s cultural and environmental diversity. Interested parties have been invited to submit bids by September 9, in line with the tender documents.
Meanwhile, construction of the Itlalat Yanqul (Yanqul View) project in the governorate is progressing, with 45% of the work completed. Covering 65,000sqm and involving an investment of about RO1.86mn, the project is designed as a sustainable leisure and tourism hub.
Facilities under development include an open-air theatre, sports courts, a children’s playground, barbecue zones, water features, restaurants, cafés, a reception building and car parking. The project also incorporates open green spaces to serve as a recreational hub for families and those interested in agriculture and nature. Officials noted that Itlalat Yanqul aims to boost tourism, enhance quality of life, and support social and economic activities.
