Muscat – The main committee for sighting the crescent moon of the holy month of Ramadan for the year 1446 AH will convene tomorrow evening, Friday, at the General Diwan of the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs. The meeting will be chaired by Dr. Mohammed bin Said al Ma’amari, Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs.

The Ministry has urged citizens and residents to assist in sighting the crescent moon by coordinating with field teams in various wilayats or by reporting to sub-committees in the offices of Their Excellencies the Governors.

The official announcement regarding the start of Ramadan will be made following the committee’s deliberations.
