The joint military exercise between Oman and Pakistan, ‘Washq Al Jabal/1’, commenced today in the military training area of Jabal Akhdar. The Royal Army of Oman, represented by the South Oman Battalion of the 11th Infantry Brigade, is leading the exercise with participation from the Pakistan Army, and support from the Royal Air Force of Oman.
The exercise, which runs until 21st October, focuses on a range of military scenarios and joint training exercises. Its main objectives are to maintain combat efficiency and operational readiness within the Royal Army of Oman, while fostering the exchange of expertise between the two nations.
The opening event was attended by Brigadier General Abdul Kadhim bin Ibrahim al Ajmi, Commander of the 11th Infantry Brigade, alongside senior officers from both Oman and Pakistan.
