Muscat – In order to stimulate the economy and implement recreational facilities, Dakhliyah is offering 17 projects for development in the governorate.

Bids are invited for a variety of projects, including public parks, recreational areas, and livestock barns.

An official of the governorate said, “Dakhliyah is calling on bidders to set up a recreational game area in the wilayat of Al Hamra on an area of 2,500sqm, a game area with electronic rides in Adam Park on 9,000sqm and another in Manah Park on an area of 5,000sqm.”

He informed that Dakhliyah Municipality is also inviting bids to establish an agricultural nursery in Nizwa of 560sqm and another in Izki of 1,439sqm. “Development and operation of Tanuf Park in the wilayat of Nizwa, spread over an area of 10,789sqm, is also open for bidding.”

Tenders have also been announced to set up barns for livestock in Nizwa (1,500sqm) and Manah (270sqm).

Bids have been invited to establish a municipal park in Manah on an area of 7,787sqm, and separately, a recreational area for bicycles and electric scooters in Manah Public Park on an area of 448sqm.

A number of cafes in Nizwa and Jabal Akdar are also being offered on rent.

The last date for submission of bids is March 30.

The developments are being under taken under the Governorate Development Programme for which His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik raised the amount from RO10mn to RO20mn for each governorate for the current Five-Year Plan (2021-2025), starting from 2022.
