26 Jan 2023 By

Muscat – MB Foundation has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Human Development Centre for the Disabled (HDCD) to support ‘Together for Them’, an initiative which aims to provide job opportunities to 100 disabled people in various industries in Oman.

Iman al Barwani, Vice-Chairperson of MB Foundation, signed the MoU on behalf of MB Foundation, while Awatef al Salman signed the MoU on behalf of HDCD.

Following the signing, Iman said, “I am especially proud of this initiative because it is aligned with supporting people with disabilities in Oman, which is one of MB Foundation’s four main pillars. In the past, the foundation has provided a training centre for disabled people with the purpose of developing the skills they need. In addition, the foundation has sponsored the training costs of ten trainees.”

On her part, Awatef said, “We are happy with this MoU and look forward to future steps towards reaching our goal of providing jobs to 100 disabled people in various local industries including oil and gas, energy, investment communications, and the financial and banking markets. I believe disabled people have talents which will enable them to thrive in these jobs and be a great addition to their organisations.”
