Muscat – The Office of the Governor of North Sharqiyah signed 17 agreements worth RO3.53mn for the implementation of services and development projects in the wilayats of the governorate on Wednesday.

The agreements include designing road projects, construction projects, and supply and installation of lights and utility services, among others.

The agreements were signed by Sheikh Ali Ahmed al Shamsi, Governor of North Sharqiyah, and managers and representatives of the executing companies.

On the occasion, Sheikh Shamsi said, “These agreements will help develop tourism in all the wilayats of the governorate and in turn spur economic movement.”

Based on a Royal Directive, each governorate has been allocated RO20mn under the Governorates Development Programme for the current Five-Year Plan.
