Sayyid Theyazin commissioned as officer from Royal Military Academy Sandhurst
London, United Kingdom – His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik presided over the graduation ceremony of the Commissioning Course Short 222 of Officer Cadets at Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in London, United Kingdom, on Saturday.
His Majesty the Sultan inspected the parade of which Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham al Said and other graduates were a part.
Upon arrival of His Majesty the Sultan at the academy’s headquarters, he was received by Maj Gen Duncan Capps, the academy’s commander.
After that, His Majesty the Sultan stepped on the dais accompanied by Maj Gen Capps as the column of graduates saluted them. His Majesty later inspected the column of graduates and interacted with a few.
His Majesty the Sultan praised the high level of skills they acquired during their training at the academy, calling on them to renew their determination and continue their efforts to achieve more for their countries.
His Majesty the Sultan also met the Omani officers studying in the academy, and congratulated them on graduating. He stressed on the importance of continuing to develop their skills, wishing them success in their future endeavours.
On the occasion, His Majesty presented a souvenir to Maj Gen Capps, while His Majesty the Sultan accepted a souvenir from the commander of the academy.
The graduation ceremony was attended by the Honourable Lady, the spouse of His Majesty the Sultan, Bilarab bin Haitham al Said and the Ambassador of Oman to the United Kingdom.
Concluding his visit to the academy, His Majesty wrote a message in its visitor’s book.
The graduation ceremony saw 103 Officer Cadets commissioned on Saturday. The parade marks completion of eight weeks of training for the Commissioning Course Short 222. The course included nine international cadets from Oman, Jordan, Bahrain and Kosovo.
