Muscat – Arabian Industries Manufacturing LLC (AIM), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Oman-based Arabian Industries Group, recently dispatched a first-of-its-kind Cladded Process Reactor (Desulphurization Reactor) to an international client for a refinery project.

With this ‘Made-in-Oman’ shipment for an international client, AIM – which is a leading manufacturer of equipment for oil and gas industry – has gained attention of the global oil and gas companies.

This is the first time that a Critical Cladded Reactor is manufactured locally in Oman, involving the material combination of Low Alloy Steel with an internal cladding of Stabilized Stainless Steel. This Critical Reactor is built to precision tolerances considering the exposure to severe corrosive atmosphere and dynamic loading during service.

The Reactor will sail directly to an overseas major refinery expansion project site where it would be installed immediately by the client. The scope of supply involves engineering, material procurement, fabrication, inspection and testing of the Reactor meeting the client’s stringent quality requirements.

The Reactor is fully engineered and manufactured locally in Oman by AIM with the highest levels of quality and safety standards, involving a team of highly experienced Omani and expatriate engineers and workforce.

The company supplies high-tech Process Columns, Reactors, Heat Exchangers and Process Skids to global companies in refinery, oil and gas, petrochemicals, fertilizers, water and power sectors. It is currently executing similar export orders for critical process equipment that are received from national and international oil companies in Qatar, the US, Uzbekistan, Thailand, Bahrain and Kuwait.

In Oman, AIM recently has played a significant role in the construction of PDO’s Yibal Khuff Mega Project and OQ’s refinery projects in Sohar and Duqm by delivering several Critical Pressure Vessels and Process Columns.

The supplies included a 300-tonne CRA-Cladded Separator and a 44-metre Cladded Columns to PDO’s Yibal Khuff Mega Project and several other Process Columns to the Duqm Refinery project.

Arabian Industries owns and operates a state-of-the-art and digitally-enabled coastal manufacturing facility at Sohar. Additionally, the Sohar facility also hosts a state-of-the-art and a PDO-approved only CRA cladding facility for manufacturing and supply of CRA Cladded Piping Bulks.
