Ras Madrakah – The Al Wusta Inspection Unit conducted a joint marine operation with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources in the Ras Madrakah area of Duqm on October 17.

The joint inspection team detained four expatriate fishermen engaged in illegal fishing activities. Authorities seized two fishing boats, two 200-horsepower marine engines, and two specialized encirclement nets used for unauthorized fishing. The offenders, along with all confiscated equipment, remain in custody while formal legal procedures are completed in accordance with current regulations.

This operation forms part of ongoing monitoring efforts by the Safety and Security Authority and the Ministry to protect living aquatic resources and enforce fisheries legislation.
