Muscat – The deadline for submitting objections to the preliminary lists of candidates for Oman’s fourth-term municipal council elections is Thursday.

The Ministry of Interior has set a five-day period for submitting objections following the announcement of the preliminary candidate lists.

Eligible voters and other concerned parties can submit their objections through the “Entikhab” (Election) app or the official election website, elections.om.

The objection period forms part of the procedures for reviewing and finalising the candidate lists ahead of the municipal council elections.

The ministry has urged those wishing to challenge any name included in the preliminary lists to submit their objections within the specified period through the approved electronic channels.

The final candidate lists will be announced after the completion of the objection process and the examination of submissions by the competent authorities.
