Duqm – His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik conducted an inspection tour of several wilayats in Al Wusta and South Sharqiyah on Thursday.

During the tour, His Majesty closely reviewed a range of developmental, economic, social and tourism projects and programmes being implemented by the government to meet developmental requirements and to bring about further advancement and modernisation across all fields.

The Royal motorcade set off from the Port of Duqm to the wilayat of Mahout, and then proceeded to Jaalan Bani Bu Ali, Jaalan Bani Bu Hassan and Al Kamil Wal Wafi.

The tour reflected the keenness of His Majesty the Sultan to elevate development and modernisation programmes throughout the country, to harness the natural and touristic potential of these wilayats, and to provide all developmental and social services to citizens.

Citizens rejoiced at this blessed visit. They gathered to greet His Majesty and welcome his auspicious arrival, reciting traditional folk songs and welcoming chants, while beseeching Almighty Allah to safeguard him under His care and to grant him enduring success, so that the nation may attain further progress and achievements.

Accompanying His Majesty the Sultan during the tour were a number of ministers and advisers.
