Salalah – The General Directorate of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources in Dhofar has invited Omani citizens with agricultural experience to apply for support under the Arabian Coffee Cultivation Project, funded by the Agricultural and Fisheries Development Fund.

The project aims to expand Arabian coffee cultivation and enhance productivity by providing coffee seedlings to eligible farmers, with support covering up to 100% in accordance with the approved category.

Applicants must be Omani citizens with previous experience in agriculture. The proposed cultivation site must be located within the mountainous range and at an elevation suitable for Arabian coffee cultivation.

The area designated for cultivation must be at least 500sqm, while the site must have an agricultural licence issued by the competent authority and be suitable for farming.

Under the project, the ministry will provide Arabian coffee seedlings in accordance with the approved support category.

Beneficiaries will be responsible for preparing the land, carrying out excavation works and installing a drip irrigation system before planting.

Applications must include a survey drawing of the site, specifically a rural housing cadastral drawing, and a copy of the applicant’s identity card.

Applicants must also ensure that a permanent irrigation water source and electricity supply are available at the site.

Beneficiaries will be required to follow agricultural practices recommended by ministry specialists. They must also allow ministry specialists to inspect the proposed site before cultivation begins to verify compliance with the project’s requirements.

The ministry will conduct follow-up and continuous evaluation of the farms to ensure that the recommended agricultural practices are being implemented.

Applications that do not meet the specified conditions will not be accepted.

The deadline for registration and submission of applications is September 30, 2026.
