Muscat –  H E Sheikh Khalifa Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of Political Affairs in the Foreign Ministry, received Pierre Krähenbühl, Director-General of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Geneva, on Sunday.

The meeting reviewed political and humanitarian developments in the region and exchanged views on a number of issues of mutual interest.

The two sides also discussed areas of cooperation and expertise-sharing between Oman and the ICRC, as well as ways to strengthen partnership and coordination.

The meeting was attended by Abdullah Mohammed Said, Head of the ICRC Mission in Oman, along with a number of officials from both sides.
