Khasab – United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) issued warning 124-26 regarding an attack reported on Aug 31 at 2000UTC. According to a Company Security Officer, a tanker was struck by 3 unknown projectiles while completing an outbound transit of the Strait of Hormuz. The incident occurred 17NM east of Khasab, Oman.

No casualties or environmental impact have been reported following the strike. Relevant authorities are currently investigating the incident. UKMTO has issued an advisory for all vessels transiting the area to proceed with caution and to report any suspicious activity immediately to UKMTO.
