Virginia – A startup named Operation Bluebird has officially launched a new social media platform called Twitter.now. The company stated that the service is completely independent and has no connection to Elon Musk’s X Corporation.
Following the 2022 acquisition and subsequent rebranding of Twitter to X, Operation Bluebird argued that X Corporation abandoned its legal rights to trademarks such as “Twitter,” “tweet,” and the iconic bird logo.
X Corporation previously filed a lawsuit against the startup to prevent the launch, and the legal dispute remains active. However, the startup moved forward after a court hearing in April 2026 where a judge raised the possibility that intellectual property rights may have been relinquished.
Twitter.now features an early access model, user-controlled feeds, and an AI-driven system named Vera to analyze post credibility.
