Muscat – Foreign Minister H E Sayyid Badr Al Busaidi and his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi discussed the latest regional developments and efforts to create conditions for the resumption of dialogue and negotiations during a telephone call on Friday.

The two ministers reviewed ways to bring viewpoints closer and reach peaceful solutions to outstanding issues while taking into account the interests of all parties.

They also discussed developments concerning navigation through the Strait of Hormuz and stressed the importance of continuing talks aimed at reaching practical understandings.

The discussions focused on supporting the resumption of free and smooth navigation through the strategic waterway while safeguarding regional security and stability.
