Saudi Arabia – Firefighters have successfully extinguished a fire that broke out at dawn within a facility belonging to the Saudi Aramco refinery in Jizan.

The Saudi Arabia Ministry of Energy confirmed that there were no injuries resulting from the incident, although the cause of the fire was not specified.

Previously, Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthis have claimed attacks on oil facilities in Jizan, situated on the Red Sea near the Yemeni border, while Saudi authorities have also pointed to Iran-backed militias in Iraq.

Additionally, Reuters reported that Aramco previously shut down its 400,000 barrel-per-day refinery in Jizan following a Houthi attack that damaged the plant’s Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle complex and tank farm area.
