Philippines -H E Sayyid Badr Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, met with Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar in Manila. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the ministerial meeting marking fifty years of the ASEAN treaty of amity and cooperation. Both ministers discussed bilateral relations between Oman and Pakistan and explored ways to enhance joint cooperation across various fields. They also exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual interest, stressing the importance of continued consultation and coordination to support regional and international security and stability.

In another meeting, Sayyid Badr spoke with Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand. They discussed bilateral relations and ways to build upon existing cooperation to serve mutual interests. The two ministers also exchanged perspectives on regional and international developments within the framework of ongoing coordination.

Furthermore, Sayyid Badr met with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty. They reviewed the strong fraternal relations between Oman and Egypt and discussed ways to expand bilateral cooperation to benefit both nations. The two ministers exchanged views on regional and international developments, particularly navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, and discussed ways to reduce tensions and promote peace to safeguard regional stability.

The meetings were attended by Ambassador Nasser bin Said Al Mantheri, Oman’s ambassador to the Philippines, alongside several officials from both sides.
