Muscat – Oman Post has launched the Oman Visa and Medical Centre in Manila, the Philippines, introducing a one-stop facility that combines work visa processing and mandatory medical examinations for people seeking employment in the sultanate.

The new centre is designed to simplify pre-departure procedures for Filipino workers by bringing visa documentation and medical screening under one roof, reducing processing time and improving the overall customer experience.

According to Oman Post, the facility offers a faster and more transparent process, allowing applicants to complete the required procedures in a single location while ensuring the secure handling of personal information and documents.

The company said the initiative reflects its efforts to modernise government-related services and enhance efficiency through integrated service delivery. Applicants will be able to complete medical examinations required for employment visas alongside visa processing, eliminating the need to visit multiple offices.

Among the key features highlighted by the centre are quicker transaction times, clear application procedures, secure document management and streamlined coordination between visa and medical services.

The Manila centre is expected to benefit thousands of Filipino workers travelling to Oman every year by making the application process more convenient and reducing administrative delays before departure.

The Philippines is one of the largest sources of expatriate workers in Oman, with Filipinos employed across sectors including healthcare, hospitality, construction, retail, domestic services and engineering.

The launch of the centre also supports Oman Post’s broader strategy of expanding its portfolio beyond traditional postal services into digital and integrated public services.
