Muscat – The Omani Hajj Mission for 1447 AH held a press conference to review the performance and achievements of the recent pilgrimage season. During the event, H E Ahmed bin Saleh Al Rashidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments and Religious (MERA) , who serves as the head of the mission, announced that the overall satisfaction rate among Omani pilgrims reached 98%, marking a notable increase from the 96.6% recorded in the previous year.
This assessment was based on comprehensive feedback from thousands of pilgrims who evaluated both the general services and the performance of authorized companies. Specifically, 4,329 pilgrims provided input on overall services, while 7,175 evaluated the work of the service providers.
The report highlighted the success of several developmental initiatives implemented to serve pilgrims from the Sultanate. Statistical data revealed high levels of approval across key operational areas, with electronic registration services achieving a 99.9% satisfaction rate. Furthermore, the efficiency of transit through land and air entry points received a 99.4% rating. Services provided at the camps also performed well, with satisfaction reaching 96.2% at Mina and 97.9% at Arafat. These results underscore the mission’s ongoing commitment to improving the pilgrimage experience for all citizens.
