Casablanca – Moroccan security forces have successfully dismantled a militant cell linked to the ISIL affiliate in the Sahel Province, preventing a planned attack.

According to Al Jazeera, the Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations conducted simultaneous raids across several cities, resulting in the arrest of ten members. During these operations, authorities seized military-style clothing, bladed weapons, digital materials, and bomb-making instructions.

Additionally, police discovered a vehicle modified for potential use in an attack and a warehouse containing explosive components. Officials stated that the group’s preparations for violence were at an advanced stage when their activities were disrupted by the authorities.
