Muscat – Financial Services Authority (FSA) has introduced a new unified vehicle insurance policy in Oman designed to enhance protection for both damaged parties and policyholders. This update effectively simplifies the compensation process by allowing affected individuals to claim directly from their own insurance provider.

By streamlining these procedures, the new framework significantly reduces the time required for claim settlement and improves the overall quality of service provided to motorists.

Under the current guidelines, victims can activate their recovery rights by filing a claim directly with their own insurance company, which then manages the process with the insurer of the party responsible for the accident.

A notable advantage of this system is that the damaged party is not required to pay any deductible, except in cases where additional optional benefits have been activated. This initiative reflects the authority’s commitment to creating a more efficient and accessible insurance environment for all citizens and residents.
