Muscat – General Federation of Oman Workers (GFOW) has released its performance report for May 2026, highlighting the provision of support services for 15 individual and collective labour complaints.

Of these cases, ten have been successfully resolved, two have been referred to the court, and three remain ongoing. Throughout the month, the federation also managed 59 legal inquiries and consultations while overseeing the formation of two new trade unions and the alignment of four existing unions with legal requirements.

The key issues addressed by the GFOW included matters regarding wages, leave entitlements, working hours, regular increments, project transfers, and contract terminations, as well as addressing specific requests from non-Omani workers and concerns within the maritime sector.
