Tehran, Iran – Acting on the Royal Orders of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, an official Omani delegation led by Sheikh Abdul Malik bin Abdullah Al Khalili, Chairman of the State Council, attended the funeral ceremony of the late Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, former Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, held at the Grand Mosque in Tehran on Friday.

During the ceremony, Sheikh Abdul Malik conveyed the condolences of His Majesty the Sultan to the Iranian leadership over the passing of the former Supreme Leader.

The delegation included Dr Mohammed bin Saeed Al Maamari, Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs; Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Harthi, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs; and Sayyid Yarub bin Qahtan Al Busaidi, Oman’s Ambassador to Iran.
