Suhar – Sohar University and Al Jazeera Steel Products Company have formalized a strategic collaboration agreement to develop a comprehensive Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) Management System during a signing ceremony held today at the premises of Jazeera Steel.

The agreement was signed by A. N. Venkat, Chief Executive Officer of Al Jazeera Steel Products Company, and Professor Ghassan Al Kindi, Pro Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation at Sohar University. The initiative reflects a shared commitment to advancing safety standards, operational efficiency, and digital transformation within the industrial sector.

The proposed HSSE Management System will be designed as a bilingual platform to effectively serve a diverse workforce. The system will be developed by academic experts from Sohar University, namely Dr. Furqan Alam from the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology and Professor Rakesh Belwal from the Faculty of Business.  Zia Jabbar, General Manager Strategic Marketing & Projects, the key contact point for this project along with Heads of different departments were present on this occasion. The innovative solution is expected to simplify the HSSE orientation process, significantly reducing the time and cost associated with training and compliance while enhancing overall effectiveness.
