Muscat – His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik will embark on an official visit to the French Republic on Sunday.
In a statement, the Diwan of the Royal Court, said:
‘Building upon the bonds of friendship between the Sultanate of Oman and the French Republic, and in response to the gracious invitation extended to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik by President Emmanuel Macron of the French Republic, His Majesty the Sultan will go on an official visit to France from June 28 to 29.
‘His Majesty’s visit to France comes within the framework of strengthening the existing domains of cooperation between the two countries across various fields and avenues for their development, in a manner that serves their mutual interests and aspirations, both present and future, and in continuation of consultation and coordination between the two leaderships to examine various developments on the regional and international arenas.
‘Accompanying His Majesty the Sultan during his visit will be a high-level official delegation comprising H H Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs; Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of the Royal Court; Gen Sultan bin Mohammed Al Numani, Minister of the Royal Office; Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister; Dr Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office; Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority; Anwar bin Hilal Al Jabri, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion; and Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Araimi, Ambassador of Oman to France.’
