CAA mandates health declarations for travellers amid Ebola concerns

Muscat – Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has issued a new circular regarding the ongoing Ebola outbreak. The authority, in coordination with the Ministry of Health and the Medical Response Sector, has outlined the following requirements for arriving passengers:

  • The directive is based on recent epidemiological updates from the World Health Organization concerning the Bundibugyo virus strain in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Republic of Uganda.
  • Nationals of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Republic of Uganda must complete an Electronic Health Self-Declaration Form.
  • The requirement also applies to any passengers arriving from these two countries, or those who have visited them within the 21 days preceding their arrival in Oman.
  • Affected travellers are directed to complete the form via https://survey.moh.gov.om/survey/index.php/799739?lang=ar
