Muscat – The National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) will launch three major digital initiatives – the interactive Artaj app, the Government Administrative Coordination Portal and the Central Data Warehouse Project – at a ceremony on Wednesday.

The initiatives are part of NCSI’s ongoing efforts to strengthen Oman’s national data ecosystem, promote statistical literacy, and harness advanced technologies to support sustainable development and evidence-based decision-making. These also aim to enhance institutional integration and accelerate digital transformation across the state administrative apparatus in line with the objectives of Vision 2040.

The Artaj app is expected to offer an engaging educational experience designed to enhance statistical awareness and knowledge among children through interactive learning tools and activities.

The Government Administrative Coordination Portal seeks to unify communication and coordination channels among government entities. The platform will facilitate the exchange of reports, publications, studies, government projects, survey findings and public opinion poll results, enabling greater utilisation of institutional knowledge, supporting informed decision-making, and improving overall government performance and efficiency.

The Central Data Warehouse Project will improve the integration, quality and efficiency of national data. It is expected to play a key role in advancing digital transformation efforts and enhancing the development of government services through more effective data management and accessibility.

The launch will feature presentations introducing the three projects and highlighting their key objectives and expected outcomes. The projects are expected to contribute to the development of Oman’s statistics and information system, reinforce government integration, and further advance the sultanate’s digital transformation agenda.
